Hogle Zoo, Salt Lake City, UT
Beck, Chloe and I spent Sunday afternoon visiting the zoo in Salt Lake City. Beck was hoping for an aquarium, so was I, but they didn't have one. That was o.k., because we enjoyed the zoo and the animals.
We also enjoyed the Dipping Dots ice cream. And who can refuse the cotton candy? Fresh.
This monkey was really soaking up the sun!

i'm jealous of your pictures. you either have a zoom lens or the animals in salt lake are a lot closer than here in houston. Eitherway, I'm glad you had fun! ;)
Charlton, I don't have a zoom. The animals were a lot closer. The down side is that we saw a lot of fence wire, which is sort of "old school" for zoos. I like the modern zoos that are more into creating a natural habitat. Of course that requires they be set back from the onlookers a further distance. And some of these animals were in small glass like enclosures that I felt were too small for them. Makes me sad when I see that.
