Emergency room... here we come!

Last night may have ended with a broken window, but it began with this.

Chloe and I bought groceries and stopped to pick up fast food for the family. Her hands were full when she was getting out of the car and she didn't watch as she closed the door. It closed COMPLETELY on her left thumb, right below the nail.

When I heard that scream as I was getting out of the car, I knew immediately what had happened. I ran to her side of the car to see that awful sight. I opened the door and took her inside.

We went to the emergency room and by 10:30 got the good news that it was not broken, just badly bruised.

It was awful to see her in such pain. She cried for a good hour and a half. By the time we left she was in good spirits and being silly. She got a finger splint and wore it to school today. It caused lots of attention at school, which she doesn't like, but sort of likes at the same time.

She's doing fine now. Just quite a scare for us all.

The window breaking (see post below) happened after we got home.

What a night!

Webkinz Visit Sleepyhead

Chloe and I made this slide show one day when Spike was fast asleep. He didn't move a muscle as she placed her Webkinz, one after another, on top of him. Sorry it's a bit slow, it's the fastest I could get it to go. Enjoy!
