Summer Days

Every time we go to the pool in our subdivision, it is a reminder of each summer past. The first year we lived here, Nathan couldn't stand in the shallow end, Beck was less than a year old, and Chloe wasn't born yet. I have watched each of the kids progress from floaties to swimming on their own. And the first swim of each summer, I watch to see how deep they can go and still stand up, it's further every year. I remember Chloe had one of those chest floats front and back, and before she was big enough to stand in the shallow end, she wore that float and swam back and forth, the whole length of the pool, on her own. She LOVED the water, and still does.

It's been wonderful watching them these past 10 summers and seeing their growth. Here's a smidgen of today's fun.Beck does a belly flop!

Chloe jumps in for all she's worth!

Nathan risks it all!

Did y'all have the entire pool to yourselves? it looks like they had so much fun. I haven't been swimming in forever! Maybe next summer I'll be venturing out with Mackenzie.

There were a few other people there at the time. But the first 20 minutes we were the only ones there. Yes, I can't wait to see Mackenzie in a little bathing suit next summer!

They've come so far--what a great way to remember your little fishies' progress. Swimming is the one of the best ways to spend a summer day!

Webkinz Visit Sleepyhead

Chloe and I made this slide show one day when Spike was fast asleep. He didn't move a muscle as she placed her Webkinz, one after another, on top of him. Sorry it's a bit slow, it's the fastest I could get it to go. Enjoy!
