We survived! Our house took some damage. The shingles were blown off on one side all the way to the wood. So there was quite a bit of damage in a couple of the upstairs rooms. Nathan's room got the most damage. State Farm has been called and pics have been taken. The other casualty was our back fence. We don't back up to anything except a wide open field.
But we have water that is clean, a gas water heater and we are all o.k. So we are blessed. We are, however, still without power. This is getting VERY old. I am currently at my parents' home in Alvin, they have power. And I am doing some much needed laundry. And enjoying the air conditioning.
Once again, another thing to be thankful for is that a cold front passed through last night and brought cooler temperatures for those of us to enjoy who have no air.
So all in all we are blessed, thankful, and safe.
I will post pics when we get our power back on.
Thank you for the prayers.
