Tonight's Class - Cards!

Just wanted to share a pic of the cards we will be making in my class tonight. I have everything cut and ready.

"Be Yourself" is the name of this card. It's a simple 5.25" square card. I used scrapbook paper as the background and the flower was cut from a coordinating piece. The petals were "curled" around my scissors to give a little dimension.

"Black & White" is the simplest of the cards we will be making tonight, but also the most striking. Coordinating scrapbook paper, one with a white b/g, one with a black. Cut squares 1 5/8". Mount on 5x5" black square. The card is white 5 1/4 x 5 1/4".

One of my new favorite things is my Cuttlebug. I embossed the center square (hard to see) and punched it out with my Marvy scalloped punch. This was mounted onto a black square.

"Love" This paper is beautiful! It has a sheen to it, and is two-sided. The green strip is the back side of the lower panel of leaves. This card is unusual in that it fits into a #10 Business size envelope.

"Sweet Baby" I love this card! It fits into an invitation size envelope, but it is deceiving because the base of the card is 4 1/4" square. The circle topper extends above the card to complete the 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" standard invitation size. I used the new KI Memories Baby Girl line.

I used two of my favorite things on this card! My cuttlebug which I mentioned before. This time I used it to die cut the elephant. He was cut out of chipboard first, and then, with Chloe's help, I cut him out of the pink cardstock. It gives it a nice dimension.

The second favorite tool, you ask?? My Cricut machine. Most of you may not know what this is, but let me tell you it is a wonderful machine! I cut the expression "Sweet Baby" with the "All Mixed Up" cartridge. The Cricut can cut from 1" to 5 1/2" in height. It's great for cutting letters and shapes. There are all kinds of cartridges. They call me the "Cricut Queen" at the store. If anyone wants a little tutorial, let me know and I will blog it.

"The Things I Love About You" - I like this card for its masculine feel. It's very simple. The paisleys were created with my Cuttlebug. The ribbon is really cool, it has a suede/felt feel to it.

So there you have it. More than you probably wanted to know! LOL

Do you want to see more as time goes by? I've got lots to show.

Blessings

Oh my! These are gorgeous! As Kim would say, "I love your brain!"

Do you have the classes at your home or at the scrapbook store? I'm so behind, I've never played with a Cricut or Cuttlebug.

So glad to find your blog--I'd love to keep in touch! :)

Webkinz Visit Sleepyhead

Chloe and I made this slide show one day when Spike was fast asleep. He didn't move a muscle as she placed her Webkinz, one after another, on top of him. Sorry it's a bit slow, it's the fastest I could get it to go. Enjoy!
