Fact: Tortoises (Tort-eye?) love to eat flowers and other vegetation.
Shelly is no exception. She had a wonderful snack munching on these wildflowers. She's been known to eat 4 at one feeding.

How much has Shelly grown? Are you doing monthly pictures like beside her favorite toy? Ha! I did not know they ate flowers--love your action shot!
She hasn't grown noticeably, just a bit. If they are being fed correctly, they grow slowly. If they grow too fast their shell can become deformed. Weird, huh. Actually, I may take a monthly pic next to something to gauge her growth. That's a good idea.
So how long will she take to get HUGE??? The pictures are so pretty!!!
Maybe 10-15 years to get really big? I'm not sure. The 2-year olds that I saw were maybe 5 inches long. She's definitely a long-term pet.

I guess I keep forgetting that it's Chloe's tortoise. Hopefully she can have a long life with it.
Which colleges do you think will allow tortoises in the dorm?
